    The construction looks good. You have to stay away from the one with the metal plates in the back. Here is one I got a couple of years ago. There is a large thread in the imperial forum with lots of examples. Kirby

    I have never really collected these buckles but from the construction I would say original

    Hello,

    the telegraphers buckles are indeed very interesting, and this one looks good to me, at least the box and the medaillon are original parts

    The problem with these buckles is that it is very easy to convert a prussian telegraphers buckle, which is the most "common" of the serie, into a much rarer one such this bavarian buckle, just by changing the medaillon

    The main point is then the quality of the two solder points at the back of the buckle to determine if it is original or if it has been resoldered
