Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,

I assume this is the guard contingent on the Obersalzberg ca. 1934 or so, if the reverse stamp is indicative. Mr. d'Alquen is the real master of such 1933, 1934, and 1935 photos with their little clues.

The building in the back could be the Hotel zum Tuerken, where, I think, the guard contingent was stationed. However, there are others here deeper into this arcane issues.
I wish I had a couple of these suits.
The grey uniformed officer is also noteworthy, and maybe dates the picture better than can I.

Paul, do you know which year it was taken?

The ustuf. sitting in the front looks like WSS.

    Cheers, Mads

It's possible that the collar patches have the white cotton or white silk piping, which helps to date the image. The officer in the grey uniform can date from an early moment, which Mr. d'Alquen can well substantiate.
There are numerous images of this type and there are the French illustrated histories of the LAH which can also give some clues.
Thanks for posting a nice image.

I do own a later LAH black tunic, and here it is.....
