"Kleines Fotoalbum"

Hello dear friends. I recently accuired a neat little photo album to a German soldier who apparently fought in Northern Finland during WW2 (the pictures are developed in the northern Finnish town of Oulu).

The owners name "Otto M..." and apparently his unit are written on the cover but I just can´t make it out. Please could someone with more experience help me out with deciphering the text.

Hi Jan.

From the second photo, the unit looks like 2. A. R. 19.

So I would read it as 2./ Artillerie Regiment 19.

Do the photos point to any clues?

Thanks again for your kind help 2./ Artillerie Regiment 19. mot. it must be.

Now I wonder what division this unit was part of (7. Gebirgs Division?).

Here are a few photos. By the marshy terrain on the photos from his service in Finland it is probable that he fought in NE Finland during the war. Not sure how well that fits with him beeing in 2. A. R. 19. mot. but hpefully we will find out.

AR 19 doesn't appear to have served on Finland .

Guess we will never know what the history about the writing on the cover is. About half of the pictures in the album are from Northern Finland and the other half is from some other European country (possibly Poland).
