Hi Jan.
From the second photo, the unit looks like 2. A. R. 19.
So I would read it as 2./ Artillerie Regiment 19.
Do the photos point to any clues?

Hi Jan.
This is not really helpful, but I found this -
German Artillery Units in Finland
German Artillery Units in Finland 1941 - 1944 - Axis History Forum
Unfortunately A. R 19 isn’t mentioned.

Info from Lexikon
Artillerie-Regimenter - Lexikon der Wehrmacht
AR 19 doesn't appear to have served on Finland .

Thanks for your help guys.
Guess we will never know what the history about the writing on the cover is. About half of the pictures in the album are from Northern Finland and the other half is from some other European country (possibly Poland).

Note he wears an SS Feldmmutze with the deathshead removed!

Thanks for confirming this, I thought the eagle looked "different" but wasn´t quite sure. Nice detail!
