Legion Condor Kampfgruppe 88 Photo Albums

A set of four photo albums belonging to Luftwaffe Oberleutnant Erich Schlecht, a pilot in Kampfgruppe 88. Albums ephemera including his identity card, KDF Stuttgart ship's ticket and voyage program, maps, menus, and other papers.

There are approximately 650 photos.

Kampfgruppe 88 participated in the bombing of Guernica. However, this action took place prior to Oblt. Schlecht arrival with his squadron of Heinkel 111's.

Schlecht composed the lyrics for the Legion Condor Song and directed musical evenings on board the Stuttgart.

He later served in Geschwader Hindenburg in Poland and France.
