Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Hello Praetorian,
welcome to the forum and thanks for posting.
I hope someone can identify the general for you.
Nice info, thank you for sharing that Ade. Definitely good to know
Ralph- sure did see the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen! Paul is dead on w/ his post too. Still nice to see tho, for sure! I really really like the Tropical /Pz Rg1 portrait the most
Richard- I doubt we will ever know. But it sure looks like there are 2 pin holes vertically in the middle of the breast pocket. Kinda odd he took it off for a portrait shot too if it was indeed a medal/badge
Praetorian (Chris) - Glad to see that you have posted here and good to see that you have joined our forum. Ned might be able to ID that General if he is still around!
Thanks Bill, I hope so.
Got some pz pictures from Bill lately.
Here is the first with sports badge in wear.
I would need some help on the round one.
Bill i suppose the writing on the reverse is your addition right?
