Re: New Photo Pick-Ups - Please Share
Does anyone know what kind of uniform the man with the book on the bottom right photo of post 2222 is wearing? It looks Black? Or any ideas about the last photo in 2446? Especially the white looking uniforms? (I am trying to learn more about uniforms)
Thanks -Ben

The uniform on 2222 is a black Panzerwrap armored crews would wear.
2446 looks like to be overcoats, could be the shot being under exposed, for the light apperance. The Germans did have white summer tunics
such as the one worn by the Panzer ace Otto Caruis
not my photo
If mods feel this is not good for the thread feel free to delete the photo

The man with the book in post # 2222 is wearing a standard army field blouse; it's not black, it just comes out a bit dark in the photograph.
The lightly-colored uniforms in # 2446 are Drillich work/fatigue uniforms, which came in shades from off-white to light cement grey. Fliegerblusen and coveralls are also worn by other men in the group.

A little help with the translation would be much appreciated!
I think i see the word "erinnerungen"??
That's right. It says: "Gewidmet zur steten Erinnerung von Deinem" = "Dedicated as a lasting memory from your"... but no signature. Added in red is the date "Juni [= June] 1941".

Interesting, I wasn't aware that the NSKK ever fiddled with tanks.
