The guy is having some salted and dried fish on his plates. Common snack in and often used by the marine units to stockpile food. Not that popular in the Netherlands but can be found at the fish stored.

Sad photo indeed, looks like he was a postman or a courier. The grenade is a Russian RGD-33.
Good picture, but i don't see any corpses. Two things before the tank are wheel holders. This T-26 looks abandoned to me.
Gudarian "G" Kennung?
It looks like a destroyed column. It seems that the column was taken out by an air raid. A very common sight at the beginning of the war in the East as coordination between different Red Army units (in this case AA and tank column) was poor.
My latest pick up and there are still more coming.
Evgeni, I am not seeing any of your photos?
Sorry Mate,
These were comments on the previous pictures, but I forgot to tick the "quote" box.. (. So pretty useless comments
Great photos guys!
A German lady friend of mine recently told me that she had 3 uncles that served in the SS, 2 of which were KZ guards at Dachau. She showed me some amazing photos that I really wish I could post here! But unfortunately I can't because she fears for their safety :-( (their still alive). I could listen to her stories all day! She said she remembers her "Handsome Uncles" walking around wearing their black uniforms. She also said that she remembers them throwing away the uniforms after the war "so the Russians wouldn't know they were SS men" Anyway, thought you lads might find that interesting
