A few pages from one of my favorite photo albums. Not just because our guy was in Panzer-Regiment 3 and Panzer-Pionier-Bataillon 38, but also because it has some extremely rare shots of a bridge-laying Panzer, included shots of it in action (possibly Belgium, more likely France).

Curiously in the portrait shot that starts off the album, he appears to not be wearing shoulder straps on his panzer wrapper. He also hasn't removed the collar piping, but ignoring the order to do so was popular if the wrapper wasn't worn at the Front.

    Very nice Todd!
Somewhat related to my father's service as he was also in 3 Kompanie-Panzer Reg. 2.

    I know you do Todd.
I've been keeping my eyes open for the 16th Panzer divisional pin like the one you have in your grouping, haven't seen one for sale yet.

There's one 16 PD piece in particular that I need to stop being lazy and make a thread about... I need to set the tunic up for display and get some context and career history written up about him to make a good thread.
