A photo showing some form of infantry training exercise with the use of multiple Panzer II tanks. The troops are carrying full kits but do not have their rifles. The panzer man wearing the classic beret makes me suspect this was taken early war, and I know berets continued to be worn rarely after the cessation of its production early into the war. This still appears to be very early maybe pre-Barbarossa.

Agree. Maneuvers also due to the wear of the fatigue trousers.
