Photograph album - Adventures in Scandinavia before and during the war.
Hello everyone.
The photo album charts the route taken by a gentleman who travelled by push bike to northern Scandinavia in the summer of 1933. Interestingly he became a member of the Luftwaffe medical service, rising to the rank of Leutnant and served in Scandinavia during the war years.
Photo of him in taken 1933 at the Arctic circle and two photos taken sometime during the war as a senior NCO. It is hard to see but he does have the medical insignia on his schulterklappen.
There are two routes marked on the map that go counter clockwise. The blue line is the route he took in 1933 as a civilian and the pinkish line looks like the route he took when he was in the military.
