Pioneer Officer Photo Album circa 1935 showing Transitional Uniforms

Sharing some cracking pictures from an album I am working on at the moment.

These pictures are from 1933- 1935 and show the changing insignia on the caps from cockades to eagles, the application of the breast eagle onto old uniforms and the "new" officer field cap in wear with it's embroidered wreath.

The pictures come from a section in the album showing the pioneer battalion 3 building a bridge. The locals have come out to watch and the kids as ever are right in the middle of it, see the cheeky chaps sitting on the boats with the officers, the civilian on the bridge is the Burgmeister of the town.
