That is a good purchase , some not very common ones in there !
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )
1st July 1916
Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
My collection of signed Siegfried Freyer photos. Awarded the RK for 11 Russian Tanks destroyed in one engagement.
Kind regards,
Colin
If anyone ever has any other Freyer photos for sale or knows of any for sale then please let me know! Thanks in advance, Colin
Are you the owner of his actual Knights Cross Colin ?
Hello. Yes, I am very fortunate to be the owner of his RK which has been in my collection for a number of years. The star of my collection. Hence why I am very keen to add any Freyer related items to the grouping. Over the years I have managed to acquire a number of his signed photos however, I know from internet searches that I am still missing approximately 3 images of Freyer which he signed. Fingers crossed one day I will be able to get hold of them.
Kind regards,
Colin
Fantastic Colin , that is a wonderful group of photos , medals and documents . I wrote to Freyer a number of times and i'll hceck my signed photos but i'm sure o won't have any that you haven't got already , congratualtions a very significant group !

A beautiful Hoffmann Zahnn 9th Panzer Division
Nothing on Colins group but this is right from the man himself to my family.
Karl-Heinz Gustavsson 1957 minature bar and his Miniature RKT.
He is a supposed awarded but never issued RKT, not on the offical lists or in the books.
He attended many of the veterans meetings
[Note: Some sources indicate he received the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes
on 03.03.1945 for his command of 3.Batterie / SS-Flak-Abteilung 2 / 2.SS-Panzer-
Division “Das Reich” but this is unsupported by official documentation]
All nice photos!
