I met Eberhard Heder quite a few times at the OdR , he helped me a lot with info on his time with Btl Narwa ,very sad that he has gone , Ruhe in Frieden.
Who now is the Waffen SS Senior ?
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Paul the sole remaining SS RKT is Ribbentrop now. Very sad times

Very sad to read this. Herr Heder was the 2nd one i ever wrote to and the one i had exchanged most letters from all RKTs i had correspondence with. His address was given to me by Paul so thanks once again mate.
Most people in the future will not understand how strong a bond can be formed just by sharing letters with these men.

Always a pleasure Chris , hope you are well mate ?
