Awesome photos Reibert! If you have any other photos you'd like to share....I have a Share-your-Photo thread under "EARLY ELITE PHOTO" in the "photos, propaganda, documents, etc " part. The tires are badass on that truck! the hood splits in two it looks like for ease of repair.??

some documents regarding this particular recon-soldier.
Nice Morris-Commercial 15 cwt CS8. Most likely captured in France in 1940. Great photos, I really like the one with the water bottles and mess tins hanging up in the cab. Thanks for sharing them.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Reibert do you know the SS Unit ?
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )
1st July 1916
Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
