A picture of the Great War or swine flu precaution ?
Hi Aldo, I think you will find the photo dates from the late 1920's or very early 1930's. Note the State colours decal to the helmet. These were only worn from 1923 to 1933. These are soldiers of the Reichswehr.
The dogs wearing the respirators was interesting and also kind of sad to see.
Cheers, Ade.
Must be well trained hounds. I no if i put one on my dog (who is well trained for a normal mut) he would flip out and scrape at his head...run into things to knock it of etc... .....nice photo. Is the one on the left a dobermann?
Donnie
I missed the obvious, the shield.
I do feel for the dogs.
I'm just glad they cared enough about their dogs (and horses) to make respirators for them. They must be well-trained dogs to put up with them!
Best Regards,
Mike
