    Nice pieces. I have seen mostly Allied/British/Canadian trench art over the years.........

    Sorry when I'm wrong but in German correct is "Dezember" not "December" and this place in Russia is Gumark, not Gumrak.

    I believe that Gumrak was the airfield in the Stalingrad kessel.

    Ouch, I bought the Gumrak shell from a digger in Volgagrad he also had a good deal of ID disks and other Items maybe he put the "December" on there! I never paid any attention to the spelling.

    My fault! Gumrak is OK. And there were also Romanian troops near Stalingrad. And we all make mistakes. I do not see anything wrong with that ashtray, perhaps it is just not made by a German.
