Heres a great field made scabbard for a skinning knife. The scabbard is constructed of aluminum and reflects a German soldiers time in Finland, note the word "Salla" which is a municipality in Finland near Lapland also the German as well as Finnish flags plus other decor. Interesting and not often see item.
Knives like these were made when the front was stationary during 1942-44. Metal parts from downed airplanes. The model was the killing knife from the winter war 1939-40. This is one "killer example" from the Winter War.

I am impressed by your knives guys, and I expect war-time examples such as these are hard to come by.
( I like them. As a kid in the '60's, I remember my dad's Finnish knife which he took on hunting trips every fall...........My eldest brother inherited it when he passed away in 1980. )
The Puukko can be very a expensive knife, the older they are !
