Guys,

One of my favourites.

I thought I would put it on for Ade as I know he likes this sort of thing.

Shame its been vandalised but the original owner must have valued it to take the risk of keeping it.

great item. It has a really nice age to it. It would be nice to try and find out who the CO was?

Formed in Winter 40/41 with 3 companies. Disbanded Summer 1943.

Very nice carving. Apparently the swastika has been removed post war. Would this be a black forest artist piece? I really do like this carving.

I don't know who has made it or the style you have mentioned, there is a set of initials at the top right hand side. I will make a better photo of them.
