Article about: Hi Guys, I have placed this item in this section of the forum as this POW has made the backing to this little display of his awards from his Panzer jacket. This small group came from the USA

    Hi Guys, I have placed this item in this section of the forum as this POW has made the backing to this little display of his awards from his Panzer jacket.

    This small group came from the USA. Sadly, I have no history behind the item.

    Both of his awards, the Panzerkampfabzeichen im Silber (Panzer assault badge in silver) This is maker marked "RK" and the Verwundetenabzeichen in schwartz (Wound badge in black) maker marked L/56 have both been carefully de-Nazified. The deathshead ring is also cut in half.

    I have taken a few better pics to share.

    Wound badge is marked L/56.

    The deathshead ring was once silvered.

    I like the backing, piped with collartab piping. Also old inkstamp box as the container for awards are incredible!
