I do have a folder of pictures buried somewhere of My Opa under the Frame Welding the cross member bar to drop the short block in and also the California Farm field shot when I found it. Shots of frame, old engine, roached tires, etc...When I get her fuel line fixed I will PM you a video of my lil beast fired up and purring like a big cat. She shakes the whole house...The Jeep...Not the Wifey She just shakes her fist at me.

Steve (Walkwolf) I sent this via video email as well but wasn't sure it would open. Here is a short Video Link Via You Tube of my Willy's Jeep if you want to hear the "beast" purring.

    Although Rossi's thread is on 1945 jeeps, I had a 1944 one from 1995 - 2005.

Below in original condition on the northern NSW farm in the 1960's

    1945 Jeep Willy's

It was a "leap year jeep" with a date of delivery of 29-2-44 so a little bit special. Never saw overseas service but spent the last part of the war at the Singleton NSW training camp, being demobbed in the early 1960's and sold off at a military auction.

By the time I dragged it back to Sydney the old girl was in a thousand pieces and an abandoned project.
After 4 years hard work this is how she looked....

Sadly in 2005 she went to a new owner and is now but a memory....

Oh my Goodness! That picture of it riding away on a trailor rips my heart out and I am now curled up in the fetal position sucking my thumb. WOW! What a sweet looking Jeep Dan! Thanks for posting pictures. I am sure you miss her.

    Thanks to all!!!!!

Rossi and Michael - I was sad at the time but the cash injection was necessary.

I did keep the original grill that now hangs above my workbench so I sm still connected to the old jeep.... part of her never left!

    Cheers, Dan
