It’s a nice fantasy like a lot of the other specialist progs.......but it’s fun
Here is a model OT-810/251C that is on exhibit at the 1st Armored Division museum at Fort Bliss, Texas.
This is an original Czech Army half-track built in the 1950's by the Tatra manufacturing factory.
In the 1990's it was rebuilt and modified by a German Museum to resemble a Sdkfz-251. While in Germany it appeared with woodland type camouflage as seen in the first 2 photos that were in Germany around May 2006. It also was outside for many years as seen by the surface rust and wear..
When the First Armored Division moved to Fort Bliss, Texas the half-track was moved indoors and repainted in the Afrika Korps sand colors since the 1AD landed in Oran and engaged the Germans during Operation Torch.
The 1AD museum is in the process of a redesign and remodel and this halftrack along with a Flak 88 will be exhibited in the North Africa portion of the museum.
We also have a Hetzer Tank Destroyer that will be exhibited in the Anzio/Italy portion of the 1AD Story...

Yep, I like it all but certainly do not know it all. Some areas I know more about and I am always happy to pass on what I know. I will never look down on or be condescending towards another devotee of this fine hobby who doesn't know something I do.
As the saying goes; "there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers" and this is the place to ask your questions and maybe avoid the unpleasant consequences of ignorance
Happy hobbying!

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
