I also think the front wheels are different sizes.....I bet this is a post-war shot of that vehicle doing grunt work for civilians. The road-building theory is probably the best idea.....The left front wheel looks like it came off an American 6x6, the same as the wheels on the log trailer. The right front wheel looks like the large wheels these used. The fenders are dented and the hood doesn't fit, and the only marking I see is what might have been a unit marking on the left front fender. All the other markings are either painted over or missing.
You could be right William for sure,but different size steering wheels with that much power driving them from behind would be near impossible to drive. Stewy
