Article about: Hi all! I Need help identify (early?) German (Panzer?) periscope. It seems to be very high quality instrument, very clear glass. Seems to be the original paint, and has a Waffenambt stamp. I

Not that early. CCX is the maker code for Hugo Meyer & Co, Optische und Feinmechanische Werke, Fernrohre. 44 is the year 1944. This looks small for a panzer. Might be from an SPW.

Cool! Now I learned the maker and year!
But google won't tell me a lot more, so relying on the skills of seasoned collectors to tell me more... :-)
