I agree with Dom, the helmet seems a good 1945 example. Good luck with the offer, try to low the price (it was too high in my opinion).

Offer of $450 was rejected (understandable), offer of $550 expired with no response. I would pay the full $800 asking price if paint was original and buckle was there, but the way it is I just can't go higher than $550. Thanks again everyone, I'll keep looking elsewhere, Kevin
