Material looks a bit strange for ww2, very fuzzy looking. unsure about the star, looks quite large

Thanks for youre comment, I thougt it was lendlease when I look at the fabric (material).

I don't think it is lendlease and the stamp is also odd.

The fabric might well be good. I can't work out if it's the fabric or the image that's fuzzy. Any chance of better pictures?

If that's wool vs moleskin then it has a chance of being a decent mid-war example (with a post war navy cap badge?!)

Wartime wool ones are often a bit rougher than post war ones.

Left - wartime wool, right post war (1950s).

Sorry. I realise this pic isn't all that amazing, but you get the idea..

    Still hard to tell.

The badge is a replacement. it should be 22-24mm although in wartime, non-regulation sizes also appeared.

No sweat band is fine for mid war.

Marcel has already pointed out the stamp - could be a small artel's quality control number or similar.

The material to my eyes looks like it could be good rough wool (суконная - if you are looking to buy this and the seller is Russian speaking, ask them if that's the material).

Tedious as it may be, if you're looking to buy, I'd still ask for good detailed close ups.
