Here I will show some of available at the moment visorhat sweatbands.
This one is made of canvas similar to tankman helmets cloth, covered with artificial leather. The visor cap is M35 infantry, pre-war made. The sweatband is soft like leather one.

Here is another M35 infantry visor hat that is nice pre-war issue, made by T-vo( tovarishestvo) "Motgubor" Moskva ( T-vo of tovarishestvo is mostly used in Czarist time but in USSR in period of NEP was also formated, translated as company. Motgubor is abbreviature where first word -Mot is unknown ( probably Mo-Moskovskoe, t- tovarishestvo, g - golovnoi ( head), ubor- is ubor ( gear), in englich translate both words as head gear)
So this cap has a bulbed artificial leather band ( as mostly seen in war and prewar hats, not shiny/ gloss as postwar mades) the structure of the base made of diagonal/ribs cloth, but inside painted in light brown yellowish color. The sweatband itself is soft and thin.
Here is another example of NKVD visor hat made by Red Warrior factory-Krasniy Voin in 1945 year. This cap has a typical war time sweatband ( some of that kind was also seen in early postwar examples), Grey bulbed, thin artificial leather on the normal non ribbed cotton base
This example is midwar armored crew visor hat, sweatband also as the first one ( Mogubor), forgot to say that the light brownish inside color is unfast, and by touching the band feels like oily.
This is postwar Red Warriors 1951 dated armored troops visor hat's sweatband. Nice visible "ribs" over artificial leather, due of fat cotton ribbed cloth as the base, the sweatband itself more hardener, glossy and has dark brown inside color. This cap is not good example to show unworn band, but followed picture will be more clear
This one is mid 30-s private purchased Medical / Supply service M 35 visor cap with another example of sweatband type. The atificial leather is as used on the steel helmets liners ( early Ssch- 39 with "italian" type liner and late Ssch-36 late type liner's sweatband)
Here is one private purchased "Tashkent's army" field design M 40 visor's sweatband
Frontier troops of NKVD pre-war example with black artificial leather sweatband
Mid war 1943 year armored troops cap with sweat band as a normal type for war time, practicaly without drawing ( like bubs) over the surface of the band, light brown back as on the previous war or pre war time isseues
Another one artillery M35 with nice and typical sweatband
