No one likes neck breakers....
I'd rather be A "RaD Man than a Mad Man "
sorry still working out how posting photos here work
It looks to be something along the lines of Martinyenii, Ivan..
It also looks a little ‘fresh’, though I cannot swear to either!
thank you I used to have some Russian collectors I worked with for translating this stuff but for obvious reasons I have lost contact with them. as for it looking fresh I think this may be due to the fact that the etching penetrates only the top layer of paint, this is an issues because it has resulted in some possibly identifying imfornation being lost, I don't think its visable in the photos there is also some numbers next the name that are almost completly lost
Yes, I noticed the numbers.. possibly a service number, or perhaps a date, though I cannot add anything particularly useful on that part.
I was unsure if the ‘freshness’ was merely due to the lighting. You will have a far better perspective on this, in hand.
All the best,
Rob
Martinenki Ivan ... The fathers name is unreadable. It is not a servicenumber there. The 3 is a z in the Russian alphabet but most of the letters are gone so impossible to figure out a name there.
thank you very much
Мартыненко Иван Назарович
