I apologize for the bad pictures. The seller provided me with these. I'm going to check it out in hand tomorrow, I don't have much experience in soviet helmets, which is why I wanted to post it here if there are any obvious red flags. I'm researching the helmet, but I struggle to find any information if there were stamps witch a full year, in this case, 1940. I've only found stamps with the last two digits like -41.

The photos are not great but apparently it's a good Ssh 39 dated 1940 from the Red October factory in Stalingrad

Because the photos are poor, I am only going to point out that the ink stamp is upside down for one thing.

Dermatin sweatband looks black and fresh to me, should be a shade of gray

Even in these photos, the chin strap and the factory ink stamp are doubtful. And the form of numbers at the party stamp was not used at all in the ZKO (Red October factory).
