1940/41 ESL Buckle .

Hi Guys,

Have just received a Herr belt by E. SCHNEIDER LÜDENSCHEID and have noticed something a little odd.
On the leather tab it is dated 1941 but on the buckle, with the 'ESL' makers mark, it says 40.
Would this be considered correct as the buckle has 'combat wear' and appears to be original?

Not uncommon to see this small variation, it happens more than you think, the tab still retains the stitching closest to the prong bar, no worries !

Agree with G. Date mismatches happened. And the remaining stitching is correct. Overall, nice buckle with a bit of paint remaining on the front.

Combat buckles just seem to ooze character in a way a 'minty' cannot!
