ESL 42 Real or Fake?

    Default ESL 42 Real or Fake?

    Hi, I bought this online, and only have 1 more day to return it.. I'm new at this but I compared it to several examples on this site, especially from this post: Ernst Schneider, Lüdenscheid, steel, painted help please, it looks very similar (besides condition) but the more I look at it, the more the eagle (especially beak) looks wrong to me. I have no idea on the belt. I thought I saw examples on here from 1942 that still had the leather tab attached to the buckle. Also, this shipped with what I guess is a death certificate.
    Do you guys think this is real?
