Heer officers tropical buckle and belt which I believe is produced by Overhoff and Cie.

    Belt is marked:

    G. REINHARDT
    BERLIN
    1941

It is produced in aluminum and painted an olive green, roundel is 50mm in diameter.

Looking at the back of the buckle, the style of construction is very similar to earlier XX nickel officer and Overhoff marked nickel fire police officer buckles as well as the aluminum DRK Officer buckle marked Ges Gesch 2.

    Hello Ivanjoaquin,

The construction of the back appears to be unique to this maker. The general's buckle is the same but would the DRK also be Assmann? Attached is a link to the general's buckle with photos of an O&C fie police buckle using the same construction on back.

Please let me know what you think.

    Thank you,

Thank you Ben, here is a clarification.

I the above, I was pointing out the style of construction where the wide flat backing plate of metal that has the catch hook mounts has the hook recessed into the backing plate away from the inner circle of flat metal. This appears to be specific to one manufacturer. This flat backing plate is what the front component of the buckle is mounted to.

Attached is an example of a buckle rear where more narrow backing plate has the catch hook attached to the edge of the backing plate. This is more common style of construction and one that is seen in replicas.
