Hello, I would like to know if this buckle is modified or no.
Why?
The buckle is made in Alu, not the pins in metal.
And the paint? Original or no?
Thanks....

Looks good to me.
for me also, but why the pins are not in alu, they are in steel....many paint on the back, too much?

Could have been using new stock, could have been old stock they were using up, I have seen quite a few Alu buckles with steel prongs, nothing wrong with it IMO, nice buckle in fact![]()

Many thanks, Ben.

Yeah, very nice buckle
Having steel prongs is classic for a transitional piece & being dated 1939 it ties in nicely. They were using the old aluminium bodies before they moved over to all steel construction.
I like the look of this one. The paint is not too worn and it looks pleasing.
