    Picked up this belt buckle from trader, on another forum. For a whooping $55 shipped. Not my full area of knowledge. But, I think it looks good. Wouldn’t mind a second opinion.

    Looks perfectly fine to me. I personally don't see any red flags. If anything the catch looks like it could have been reattached at some point.

    Let's wait for more members who are better experienced with buckles though.

    Thanks for the info guys!

    Thought the catch too was “different”. I dove into 100x picture threads and saw a few that had similar amounts of solder. Including a buckle just sold from IMA-USA.

    Overzealous German factory worker? Or a period repair? Possible post war?
