Hi All, I thought I'd show my nickel silver Reichwehr buckles. I know they they're not exactly Third Reich; but they were worn by the Heer from 1933 to 1936 so to my mind they are part of the story.

First up a mint buckle by G.H. Osang of Dresden and dated 1928.

    Cheers,

    Richard.

Last one, a one piece example with a frosted finish. Of note the prongs bend out from the buckle. Ben, is this a feature of Overhoff buckles?

Richard, these are three cracking buckles, the Osang buckle with the tab is really nice, a super example. The second one is a very variant in the way it has been made, quite a hard buckle to find. The third buckle I think is by Assmann, with the bent prongs and the catch likie it is. All three are very nice Richard, good additions to your ever growing collection

Cheers Ben. Thanks for the info about Assmann. I knew it was characteristic to a certain maker; but wasn't sure. All the best, Richard.
