    Default aiguillettes

    Hi all,

New to the forum, so please excuse any ignorance! Collected for a while but no expert on everything.
I came across some adjutants aiguillettes. I know that they were attached to the third button, but did one thread go to the second button? Is there a set way that they should hang? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the fast reply! Been on other websites for advice and ignored :-(

Can't seem to rotate the picture...
Which button/buttons do they hang from? Does the longer one or shorter one need to be on top?

If you crop your photos before you post them it seems to fix the problem.
Welcome to the forum, I hope you will enjoy your time here.
Might I also suggest becoming a paying member , as it opens up more of the forum.

I had not seen this thread as it is in the wrong section for buckles.
Maybe one of the moderators will transfer this thread to the proper
    section (about army).

Here two pages from my book "Aiguillettes of the Third Reich",
published in 2007. The pages tell you how to position your aiguillette,
maybe it helps you in some ways. With the shown photo from the
    poster, it is wrong:

Photos proof the aiguillette is often worn wrongly attached. The same form was
also worn within other organizations as for example the SS and state officials/
diplomats. For other types of tunics other instructions were valid, but the next
photo from a state official shows a totally wrong positioned aiguillette. A real mess!
