    Well its trying to be an early droop tail lufty officers Adler for the white summer dress tunic! But it's a no for me with those nuts & studs!

    with a bit more assurance it wasn't going to come off in a hurry...

    For one that would be this early, and of this "quality", I would almost expect to see some type of maker's mark.

    Hello,

    I can't offer an opinion on this example but the luft summer white topped sevice hat used an insignia like this. It had to be removed so the hat could be cleaned.

    Has anyone seen a makers mark on the first pattern eagle?

    If you have a width, it might help determine if this is supposed to be a cap eagle, or a breast eagle.

    Interesting. I have never seen such a solution on summer tunic breast eagles.

    Very sismilar to the polzei tschacko eagle fixing.
    ..and I remember some gorgets eagle also have threaded fastening.
