Ausgehrock Der Spiess infanterie schule uniform

Here's my latest acquisition,
A very nice early ausgehrock Der Spiess infanterie schule uniform.

This was an old style tunic that was a carry-over from the Reichswehr. It differed from the old style service tunic in that it doesn't have belt hooks and has the dress type collar tabs.

It was allowed to wear until 31st March 1941.

It had a lot of moth holes here and there, but my wife did a decent job with fixing some of them.

Happy with how it turned out
Some pics with a visor, but in the collection it sits with a helmet.

I'm doing roasted pork with white and brown potatoes.. And a salat
And of course a nice sauce.. Actually I cook a lot

And actually just built this table for her! So she is pretty happy with that
And I'm proud of how it turned out..
It measures 200x120 cm.. So now there's room to put a lot of stuff on it

I build it out of old pine floor planks.. Sanded it down.. Burnt the table and then applied a mixture of strong instant coffee.. And finally boat lacquer...
