Breast Eagle Wehrmacht but no idea what branch!
Hello Forum,
I have in my possession a German breast eagle.
However after looking through literature and browsing the web I could not see any resemblance of it. No postal, no panzer, no heer, no railway, no nothing.
Does anyone have a clue what branch of the armed forces this was used for.
Looking forward to any thoughts.
Fairly "pigeon" headed to my eyes, so I'm not convinced it is even original?

Looks like a fake panzer eagle to me.

A Panzer Pigeon it is then! I heard these were very rare!
Don't write it off yet, maybe Panzer private purchase. I've seen similar but with out the pigeon head and short legs. Hopefully Fred Green will chime in. Cheers Paul

The eagle that started this thread is a reproduction. I have a couple examples in my junk box. It has a very close cousin that is an original though.
