Button found in the ground!

Hello,

So i found a button in the ground while digging under my house (house dates 1970)
the button is made from copper with a messing layer.

i have had contackt with two musea's and they couldnt tell me what it exacly was from...
it looks like the Kriegsmarine buttons but there are some things that are different.

so my guess is that i could be older like 1920's.

i really want to know! i hope somebody can help.

2 things....what country is your house in?......and I'd think long and hard before you dig too much UNDER your house :-)

I think it is an early to mid 20th century fouled anchor Royal Navy officers button.
