Can anyone recognise Tunic?
Hi, this is my first post, on War Relics.
Does anyone have any idea as to what part of the Luftwaffe my Great Uncle
was attached to. I do believe that he served at his home Airfield of Insterburg, at some point during the war. Please see attached image.

All the Best, any help would be appreciated.

Re: Can anyone recognise Tunic?
Hi David, and a warm welcome
your relation appears to have yellow tabs for flight. Red in black and white is much darker. He is wearing a ribbon for the KVK 2nd class with swords, holding the rank of Obergefreiter
Of course yellow is just a guess, it could be light green (Air Traffic controllers)

Re: Can anyone recognise Tunic?
The key to identifying the division of service in the Luftwaffe is the base color of the collar piping and the collar patch. As we are dealing with a black and white photograph and the uniform does not have any trade badges, my guess is the color is golden brown indicating service with nachrichten or signal troops.
