Change decals on pith helmet

Since im new in this hobby, i have no idea of anything

Is it okey to change decals on a pith helmet, to other originals in better shape?

I wouldn't. Untouched is always preferred, and, in any event, it is virtually impossible to get all 3 prongs through the original holes so you will always be able to see the the shields aren't original. Just my opinion.
