Searched high and low on the forum and google - with no results. What is this supposed to be? Or is it a fantasy? Images are dark. Background is Feldgrau wool. Does not glow when exposed to black light. In any case, does not seem to be over sixty years aged anyway... Was part of a lot of US patches recently consigned.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Richie

Hello,
it is a Heer Ă„rmelabzeichen Schirrmeister (and not Schirmeister as advertised in the link).
The silver piping indicates that the bearer holds this function in his unit.
The extra strip is the base on which the silver piping is sewn. Not very common but already seen.
Thanks
The sacrifice of life is a huge sacrifice, there is only one that is more terrible, the sacrifice of honor
Here are two more of the same patch for comparison. I have been working on a list of specialty patches and collecting samples. The examples are an early war dark green background and tropical version. NH
