It appears okay to me but it is not what I generally study. There are others here who will be able to help you.

Hello Ralph,
Thanks for the link.
I'll try the forum photo hosting .
I think that this gorget is a complete rebuild but I'm not used with those.
Thanks anyway for your advise.
It is offered as is and the owner also doesn't know if it's messed up.
It was bought in the 80's.
Have a great day.
Cheers.
Burt
I suspect this is a ground-up copy which has been artificially aged. On the reverse, the two prongs are missing, yet when the backing cloth is lifted to show the plate underneath there is no sign of where the prongs had been. Even if broken off, there would be some sign of their original location. The method of attachment of the chain is also wrong.
The eagle looks wrong, like one of the copy "Summer Tunic Breast Eagle" types often used on copies. The positioning of the buttons is a bit off also. The distance from the top rounded end should be greater than that from the upper and lower edges.
See the original below for what I mean.
a aged 70s copy.
Hello and thanks a lot for your precious help
Have a great day
Cheers.
