Hi.
These are a rarely seen item and I thought I'd post them. I recently had them authenticated by the Marshals baton and these are the 1st pattern. Enjoy.

I thought I would bump this and see if anyone had an opinion.
Thanks

Whatever its just an opinion.
Rare items which I suspect very few people have actually handled? I count myself in this group. But I certainly like the look of them.
Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Ade, and I do realise that not many will have seen these, especially the 1st pattern types, which are rarer (and sadly less desirable) than the 2nd patterns. There was a chance someone might have an opinion and getting yours is always worth the time it took to bump this thread. I had a similar response on another forum, with no opinions posted, except someone gave me the link to Mike at the Marshals Baton.

jerry can you lease explain what these actually are never heard of them before
Wow Jerry very nice. I may be wrong, but weren't there only 26 or 27 Fieldmarshals during the entire war? Now that IS rare. Thanks for posting.

#4605 1st Pattern Generalfeldmarschall Rank Devices $1850
A set of two silver, stamped and frosted crossed batons for the rank of Generalfeldmarschall. This is the 1st pattern of batons that were in regulation from 1936 until September of 1940 (though still used by some Field Marshals after that date). Have been removed from shoulderboards, but retaining prongs are all still intact. Light age and toning, detail is perfect.
