German ww2 Items found in a U.S. estate

These items were recently found in the estate of a deceased US soldier. The gentleman served through WWII.

The pieces feel like aluminum to me....would that be correct?

Do they appear authentic?

*disclousure - I own an auction house and the pieces are to be sold on behalf of the estate. I just wanted to do research to sell them correctly.

Everything you show is indeed authentic.

The dagger is an SA mans.

The bayonet is a dress or parade bayonet. This has a sword knot incorrectly added to it.

The belt buckle is for a Waffen SS enlisted man.

The cap badges are for WW1 Veterans association.

Dust googles are German Army issue.

Ammo clips are French.

The gorget is for the Military Police.

No Canadian coins - The copper ones are Gr. Britain, & a very worn 1938 Mark the others are Marks from 1923, 1941, and several Francs.

The sword knot was worn on dress bayonets but it was
against regulation i guess ... as many things ;-)

I would not remove the knot from the bayonet ...

Here is a pic of a similar bayonet directly purchased from a vets widow including a "Verwundeten Abzeichen in Gold"

Questions for anyone-
We wil be sell the items for the estate, would it be in the best interest of the estate to sell the bayonet and knot together or spilt apart?
Also, the bayonet does not appear to have been cleaned - should we do this or the buyer?

I'll have to take the photos and post the pic's on Monday. The dagger has a damaged tip and is engraved. We also have two other bayonets (non-parade/dress and clean) out of the same estate.

Hi LeAnn, never clean or alter anything you have for sale. Collectors much prefer to buy things "as found".

Hi Herbert, nice as always to see original items direct from families. Non regualtion stuff is actually interesting to see I think.
