Default Heer Panzerjäger Oberstleutnant Service Tunic

Got this one set up for display today. What we have here is the Dienstrock (service tunic) for a highly decorated Lieutenant Colonel in the anti-tank branch. This would be worn for garrison/school house/HQ etc. "office" type duty not at the immediate front. The shoulder boards show signs of having been replaced when he was promoted from Hauptmann to Major. Very common to see with worn tunics. In my estimation based on the quality, style, and materials it was likely purchased by him in the early war years, perhaps 1939-41. Sadly, there is no tailor label and the tunic is unnamed. Note: wearing the EK2 ribbon both in the button hole and on the ribbon bar was technically against regulations. I will let our Oberstleutnant off the hook on that one and I take full blame.

World class Todd! This is what we expect to see in a museum, but I think some times us collectors do it better as we have that extra ounce of passion, and you have done it exceedingly well! The lighting is also superb, particularly the 2nd and 3rd photos. Well done!

I think I prefer this one over your panzer wrapper!

Although with all these awards I'm sure it would put some stress on his back or be a prime target on the battle field
