Help with rank pips

Good evening Guys, can someone please tell me or show me if there is a difference between TR era shoulder pips and post-war pips. I've gone back as far as I could with old posts but I could not find anything, or in any of the books I have.Thank you in advance and have a creepy Halloween.

Hello,
Here are a photo of mine, the post-war rank pip that I have is East German while the other is TR era.
I think the main differences are size and detail, my East German ones measure 12mm and the TR ones are 15mm. The TR one is more detailed and has more depth to it, overall looking like a much better quality.

If anyone else has any additional information or photos please feel free to add to this. Just trying to help,

Hi guys, found a couple of rank pips floating around my odds & sods box both 14mmx14mm in aluminium marked FR 40 on the reverse ( 1940 i assume) thought i would tack them on your thread for reference. Regards Paul.
