The only thing i can comment on is that the Narvikschild looks like a floch fake.
Tobias is correct, The Narvik shield is a repro! Doesn't bode to well for the rest of the jackets orignallity, Regards Paul
Sorry but I don't know how to rotate the pictures...
Thanks Paul and Tobias, by the moment only bad news...
Hi friends, I need your opinions on this tunic. As far I see it's very rare, and I've not seen examples of it on the net. Have you ever seen one like this one?
I don't like the "twisted cord" piping on the collar tabs.
And, the piping on the sewn in shoulder boards does not match the collar tabs.
Someone here should be familiar with the type of herring bone twill used during the period.
I believe this material was only used with ground crews.
I would pass, too many questions.
Ralph.

Hello,
I wish i had seen this thread earlier to help out your friend with this garment.
To me the base material of the tunic itself is bad, this herringbone cloth is a reproduction one...
Thanks

Many thanks for your fast replies. Yes, I have a friend that had the opportunity to buy a huge and cheap collection of german items but he doesn't know almost anything about german stuff. He is a specialist in spanish militaria, and I'm trying to help him with all my knowledge, but so often he shows me things I have no idea, that's the reason why I ask you for help. Also for my own researaches I ask you help...I'll show him all your opinions. Many thanks again.
