Looks like a very nice jacket, but I can't comment on it's originality. Could even be
a 'biker' jacket with added insignia. 'Eastman Leather Clothing' makes one
similar to this.........

As stated, these were not issue but private purchase items so there were many different designs used. The important parts to study are where the insignia sits: check for wear (or lack of) where the insignia and badges are placed and the loops.

They did make zippers in the period but the one on the thread starter does not appear to match pre war or war time examples.

Nice piccies Steve, but none of them appear to match the thread starter, which is almost certainly a post war bikers jacket as you posted in your previous post.
